Two Sisters Events and Styling offer a diverse range of event services to the Tropical North Queensland region including event management, styling, florals and creative workshops. Owned by Cairns locals and sisters Chrystal and Jessica Rastoka their unique event services cater to corporate events, hen’s parties, baby showers, birthday parties and a wide variety of special occasion events. The Two Sisters mantra is to create a unique and unforgettable event experience.
What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to others?
“Eat that Frog” meaning if you have something you don’t want to do (like eating a frog) just do it and get it over and done with. Otherwise you’ll think about it and work up the task up into something bigger than it really is.
What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
Work in your GOLDEN HOURS & Task Lists – If you’re an early morning person, make your big decisions and tasks in the morning! Easier tasks for in the evening when you are a feeling fatigue from the day. Daily and weekly tasks lists ensure we stay on track and complete goals set.
Are there any resources or tools you’d like to share with other small business owners that have helped you run your business?
Dividing up your weekly tasks to one dedicated day a week per task. Monday (Set up Jobs for the week), Tuesday (Invoicing).
What do you do for fun/relaxation?
Enjoy a nice lunch or weekend getaway whilst working events!

Jessica – Has next level gift wrapping skills (so nice, you don’t want to unwrap it. Chrystal – Has amazing crafting skills (can turn nappy boxes into Thomas the Tanks Engine replicas).
