I create art for galleries and commissions for clients. I also collaborate with other businesses with licensing deals!
What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to others?
Work hard and create your own unique style which sets you apart from others.
What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
Procrastination is always a big problem for me so I find it helps to set goals for my work week and if I don’t feel like creating, to do the other jobs required that doesn’t take too much thought to do. And always trust your gut – if it feels wrong, then more often than not – something is wrong!
Are there any resources or tools you’d like to share with other small business owners that have helped you run your business?
The best thing I ever did was see a business advisor! I’ve worked closely with Fortis One for several years and they’ve helped me tidy up a lot of areas in my business practice and accounting which has given me a solid foundation to grow and move ahead as a business and a person. Whatever obstacles I face I know I have the support to overcome them!
What do you do for fun/relaxation?
I love to chill out with Netflix and also take the kids out to the park. I also love travelling and seeing new places.
And something on the fun side of things, what’s your party trick or secret talent?
I am the mother of dad jokes.
