Q – Tell us about your business (what product or service you provide )

I bake all things sweet and delicious! From cupcakes and sweet treats at markets to bespoke designed celebration cakes and cookies.

Q – What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to others?

Know your worth and focus on your specialty. Stick to what you do best and do it better and with more focus then anyone else. In saying that also know when to say no, if you know it’s something that you can’t achieve or isn’t the right fit it’s totally OK to say NO!

Q – What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?

Keep your eye on the prize, not the competition! Find your niche and set yourself apart. Also find other like minded businesses and collaborate. You’ll be amazed by what amazing things you can achieve and create when you work together. You may also find yourself some incredible friends in the process.

Q – Are there any resources or tools you’d like to share with other small business owners that have helped you run your business?

Networking! Something I find extremely difficult being an introvert but I have had some amazing opportunity’s and met some fabulous women because I have attended local networking events.

Q – What do you do for fun/relaxation?

Funnily enough I bake! I love nothing more then sitting down with a pile of recipe books and choosing a few new things to try. I show love through food so I also enjoy having family and friends over for a meal or afternoon tea, nothing brings me joy like people enjoying my food!

Q – And something on the fun side of things, what’s your party trick or secret talent?

Ummm that’s a tough one! I can recite every episode of Kath and Kim, does that count as a secret talent?!
