LADIES IN BUSINESS – DAY 9
It’s Rebecca fromย Bestruct, being in construction she loves her steel cap boots and I do too so had to make sure you could see them!!ย ๐
Name: Rebecca Dennien
Company name/Organization name: Bestruct
Q -Tell us about your business (what product or service you provide)
Project management, contract administration and construction services (commercial and domestic) – almost anything relating to the world of building and if I canโt help, I know someone who can.
Q – What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to others?
In the early days of my business I attended a workshop on networking and the speaker told us that even though people look like a duck above the surface, a lot of people are peddling their legs like mad below the water. We are all doing the best we can in life, work, and business – be kind!
Q – What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
Time and energy management. I am incredibly efficient but having multiple clients with different needs all the time means trying to focus on certain tasks to achieve for the best outcomes for all my clients.
Q – Are there any resources or tools you’d like to share with other small business owners that have helped you run your business?
For someone with no previous experience in bookkeeping, I love Quickbooks intuit online oh and my accountant. They make a balance sheet and profit and loss easyย ๐ท๐ป
Q – What do you do for fun/relaxation?
I have two German shepherds and we all love their daily walks. I am not particularly good at relaxing so I keep very busy. When I force myself to, I enjoy time in a hammock on my back veranda with a book.
Q – And something on the fun side of things, what’s your party trick or secret talent?
While itโs not really a party trick – I am one of the quickest women to get ready to go out. I am incredibly laid back about fashion and am happiest in casual clothes and my steel cap boots.
