Q – Tell us about your business (what product or service you provide)
I am fascinated by the powerhouse we all have on our shoulders and the powerful workings of our unconscious mind. After years of struggling with a lack of self-love, anxiety, fears, guilt, addictions, and slowly killing myself with my lifestyle and general poor self-image I started to look for things that could help me. Eventually, I found Hypnotherapy…the rest, as they say, is history.
I have grown and healed my past pain. I left all those things behind. I have flourished and live an amazingly healthy and happy life. I was so grateful to the healing powers of Hypnotherapy that I chose to become the therapist. I know my lived experiences help others to love life as easily and effortlessly as I do. I predominately specialise in addictions and anxiety, self-love, healing naturally, menopause, and other conditions. I have a NO Harm done approach & Hypnotherapy ticks that box. The work I do is completely natural, deeply relaxing and the results are realised quickly and…without a dancing chicken in sight. Your mind will only allow what we agree to allow. Everything that happens in my office stays in my office. My clients are reassured in knowing that I am bound by the privacy act and the code of conduct. I am as passionate about your wellbeing as I am about my own.
Q – What’s the best advice you have received in business that you wish to pass on to others?
Listen, admire, follow others but always be authentically you.
Q – What one thing have you learned as a small business owner that has served you well over the years?
Allow setbacks and failures to be your life lessons that guide and assist you to grow.
Q – Are there any resources or tools you’d like to share with other small business owners that have helped you run your business?
As a sole operator its sometimes tough to rely on your own judgment and decisions. Always ask for help from others in the business. Most people are happy to give some hints and tips and what it is that may work better. To all those who have helped me. Thank You.
Q – What do you do for fun/relaxation?
A good morning walk and coffee with friends is my regular go too. I am an avid traveler. The thought of the landing gear touching down in some far-flung destination lights me up. I have recently dusted off my hiking boots and have already climbed so many of the beautiful trails in our region. Next stop the Pyramid and Mt. Bartle Frere, come join me. I have a little Honda 250 trail bike and though I don’t get out on the trails as much as I would like, I seriously love the feeling of freedom it gives me being out in the bush. When I’m on those little narrow trails I have my concentration face on and I am focused, I love that feeling, the challenges and living life to its fullest. I love photography and am eternally grateful for what I call my “Photo eyes”. I see things others don’t, especially in nature. I love learning and I am often found researching the mind and brain, I love my dog… and I love sharing my passion for life with friends and seeing my clients realising and achieving their best life. I love the work I am so fortunate to do.
Q – And something on the fun side of things, what’s your party trick?
Being the last one standing on the dance floor then getting my car keys out to drive home. I’ve been asked so many times to reconsider drink driving. I love my sober life.
